‘Light in the dark’ by Pieke Bergmans
Those light sculptures (or should I say ‘the blubs’) were created using the LED technology (similar to this used in spot lights at our homes) encased in the hand formed crystal bulbs suspended from the commonly used lamps.
They look amazing, don’t they! The liquid drops of electric light, suspended from the desk- floor- wall- or ceiling-mounted luminaires, that splash against the surface of the desk, the file cabinet or simply freeze in the air.
The collection was created in collaboration with Royal Crystal Leerdam and was exhibited in Milan during the Salone Del Mobile 2008.
